Days two and three of spring break have consisted of Anna getting over a stomach bug. Yes, that's right, she got 'sick' Monday afternoon. We took it easy for most of the day Tuesday, so when I went out for a run (don't worry folks, I ran on the dead end street in front of the house), I figured it'd be ok for all the girls to play in the yard. Anna needed some sunlight, or so I thought. After my run, we just sat in the yard. I ran in to the house for something, and when I came back out, Warren was home. We chatted for a few then came inside for supper. (I SWEAR, I am in love with my crock pot. It has been used more in the six months we've lived here than in our entire married life!) Ha!
Didn't think Anna needed anything heavy, so we gave her some chicken noodle soup and crackers. She ate about three crackers and a spoonful of broth. After a few minutes, while the rest of us are finishing eating, Anna announces her tummy hurts. Oh boy! She did make it to the bathroom but did need a shower afterwards.
So far so good today, but bless her, she hasn't eaten much of anything. She seems to be better or maybe just bored, but she has had a bit more energy today.
Sorry for grossing out any of my readers (if there are any of you left), but I just thought I'd chronicle our week.
The biggest bummer about Nanner being sick is that we had to cancel out on a trip to the Memphis Zoo with some friends. They've posted some pics to FaceBook and it looks like they're having fun. And what a great day weather wise!!! Maybe next time...
