Reese asked Santa Claus for a "real" artist's easel for Christmas. DamDam has one at her house, and whenever we would go to her house, Reese would say that she needed one like DamDam's. And, Santa Claus certainly delivered....

On Christmas morning with her brand new easel
She was really excited, and Santa brought all sorts of supplies to go along with it. (We have since used up most of the supplies, but hey, she is having a ball!)
DamDam is an EXCELLENT art teacher. I don't think I want Reese painting anything unless DamDam is here to offer advice. :) Here, she is working on something I asked her to attempt for me, prior to Christmas Day and getting her easel.
The finished product....I think it turned out AWESOME! My friend, Shannon, had some photos of her Christmas decorations on her blog. She has a plate with this 'picture' on it, and I just thought the way it was done would be perfect for Reese to try to paint. (Hope you don't mind my stealing it, Shannon!)
I printed off a copy, and since we have no color ink in our printer, Reese's copy was black and white. I liked it that way because she was able to pick out what colors she wanted to use.
My mom came up to see us later on the same day that BopBop and DamDam were leaving, so Reese decided that Mimi needed a work of art, too. DamDam gave her tips on painting the above Christmas tree. She is gonna have to do one for me for next year's decorating! :)

I have to say, that she is pretty good, but is even better when she has someone giving her a little advice on 'how' to do certain things.

On Sunday, Warren was using the guide on the TV to see what all was on, and he came across the best of Bob Ross. (I LOVED (and still d0) watching him paint). We thought Big Girl would love to watch him, too, and boy did she. She didn't say a word through the entire program. (We may have to see if there are any DVDs!)
