Photo of the Day #12 from Sunday, April 29

My sweet girls in the bath. Anna just walked over to Reese and sat in her lap for a few minutes. I just love their faces in this picture! There are times when they are really going at it and screaming and hollering and just being 'tookie', but most of the time they are really sweet with each other. I told myself that I would take or post many more bath shots since the girls are getting older, but nothin' is showing in this one, so I thought it'd be okay! :)

I must say, though, that it is becoming increasingly more difficult to bathe them all at once. It does save water and time, but between the three of them (and how much bigger they are now) and ALL the tub toys, there's barely any room in the small tub to actually bathe. I know they have a big time in the tub playing together. What sweet memories for me.

A future American Idol? I'm sure Simon would love this performance! :)
Ok, I know that this is not a photo, but it's too funny! And, as a responsible parent, I know that this is not the best song to let your four year old learn. But, I like the song and listen to it in the car, and Reese is so quick--she picks up on anything. I just like the way she sings it! Be sure to pause the music player at the end and the music on the photo show from April 24th! The click on play and................... ENJOY!

Photo of the Day #10 from Friday, April 27

Who knew that three year old school for three hours a day would be so tiring? :) Reese obviously had big fun at school on Friday and crashed that afternoon! I love to watch her sleep; so peaceful. It's really about the only time when she's quiet nowadays. She has so much energy that I'm always wondering where it comes from and if she'll share some with me! I sure could use some! ;)

Photo of the Day #9

Today's photo: my sweet sleeping babies! It's been a long day for them. We had to go to the grocery store this morning--we were almost out of milk and we were out of juice and pop tarts! Horrors!!! When they're tired, it doesn't take them long to fall asleep in their high chairs. Now a days, we have to tie them down to get them to nap; I don't think they've just gotten still and fallen asleep like they did when they were smaller. And Maggie fights going to bed so bad now; she used to be the 'easy' nighttime baby! Guess those days are over! Aren't they darling?

Fun & Interesting

**I do NOT necessarily agree with all of the things discovered in this Visual DNA, but it was fun and some things do seem right on the money about me!

MOOD:

Easy Rider: You're a bit of a romantic and have a taste for the exotic. You love feeling the sea breeze in your hair, sun on your skin....Slip those shoes off....You like to kick back. When it comes to art, you have a traditional eye. You are passionate about history and skills that have been around for centuries, you believe truly great art stands the test of time. As for music, it's the soundtrack to your world. An open road, your favourite tracks - cliches are there to be enjoyed! Your choice of treat shows you crave relaxation. Maybe you live a pampered life - or maybe you're so busy you don't seem to get any time to yourself. When you're tense you need a little help to unwind. **I do love the sea breeze in my hair; I could live at the beach, no problem! I do love to kick back. Passionate about history, ME--um, not so much. I do enjoy relaxing but my life is far from pampered.

FUN:

Escape Artist: Life is exhausting and you never seem to get enough rest - poor thing! Working hard or playing hard, you just have to get some more rest. For kicks you like to indulge - treat yourself to whatever you like. After all it is not all the time you live like this. When it comes to holidays, you reckon they should always be indulgent - a very special treat and a chance to recharge your batteries in luxurious surroundings as well as spending quality time with family and friends. What grosses you out? Nobody is perfect but some bad habits aren't acceptable; you realize that health is wealth. **I don't feel as if life is exhausting; it's a blessing. And yes, I do have days where I don't seem to get enough rest, but not everyday. This description makes me sound like all I want to do is sleep (and while that does sound good, it's just not gonna happen and I actually DO have other interests). I do love the holidays; they are a treat! :) And I do adore being with my family & friends.

HABITS:

Back to Basics: You treasure your possessions. Looking fresh is standard for you - but can leave your pockets light. If you look good, you feel better. You're not neurotic about making healthy choices....You've got more of an easy going and carefree approach to your lifestyle and a sweet tooth too. As for the home, you have very cool and contemporary taste. You have a simple approach to style, but you like things to have their place. **Don't really like this one saying that I treasure my possessions; I do enjoy the things I have, but there are a lot of things I don't have and that's A-OK. I do agree that if I look good (which I equate to having had time to have a shower and putting on make-up), I do feel LOTS better. I do have the sweetest husband who tells me that I don't need to wear any make-up (but he does insist that I shower! haha!). I am pretty easy going about my lifestyle; I do not spend a lot of time working out or thinking about what is the healthiest thing for me. I do have a simple, classic approach to style, but the part about liking things to have their place--I do, but in this house, that's not gonna happen until these girls learn to pick up after themselves!! :)

LOVE:

Home Soul: You're a real home soul. You care deeply about family life and all that comes with it, the love between a parent and a child is so special. When you think of freedom - you think of being in charge of your direction. The open road and a full tank can take you pretty much anywhere. **I am a homebody! And I truly care about my family life; being part of a family, my family, is the best, and I don't know of a sweeter love than that of a parent for his/her child. There's nothing in the world like it! As for my being in charge of my direction, I know I always have a choice in things in my life, but God is ultimately the one in control! Without Him, I'd be nowhere.

Blog Stalking Links Added

Ok, so I was looking through the blog today (surprise, surprise) and I noticed that my list of blog friends was kinda sad. I mean, I stalk several blogs everyday, and I do usually comment on them. Although there are several that I still just 'lurk' on! :) Once I become bold enough to introduce myself on those, I'll probably add them, too. So, today, I decided to add links to the blogs that I've actually commented on. I hope that's alright with those of you out there who have only 'met' me through this whole blogging thing.

Most of these links are families that are either expecting a baby (and in some cases, babies :)) or have new babies or young children. I am a sucker for babies; I just love them!!! If I had all the money in the world that would be needed to care for 10 or 12 (and a few live in nannies to help take care of 'em all), I would have that many in a heartbeat. Babies are just a gift from God and my three have brought so much joy, happiness, (and to be honest, total frustration at times), but hands down, becoming a parent is the BEST thing that I've ever done!!! :)

I love meeting new blog friends and seeing what others' lives are like. It makes this big ol' crazy world feel a little bit smaller, ya know?

Photo of the Day #8

Today's photo: our made up bed!!!!
If you read my 100 Things post, you know that I am not a bed maker--never have been. My philosophy has always been, "Why make it when you're just going to climb back in it at the end of the day." I didn't say it was a good or correct philosophy, but it was mine, and still is. But for some weird reason, I thought I just needed to make it up today. Makes the room look so much neater, even if there are baby clothes and new diapers and baby shoes and sippy cups in the floor. At least I did something semi constructive! :)

Photo of the Day #7 from Tuesday, April 24

Had to make this photo of the day all about the big girl. I've posted one of Anna & Maggie, so it was big sissy's turn! I snapped this one right after she'd gotten out of the tub (I figure she's hitting that age where it isn't a wise idea to take pictures of her actually in the tub!). We had just gotten our Sleeping Beauty nightgown on (she LOVES nightgowns; she likes PJs and wants to wear them on occasion, but her sleepwear of choice nine times out of ten is a gown), brushed teeth and brushed our hair. She has gotten a lot more cooperative about the whole 'getting ready for bed' routine. She really likes brushing her teeth by herself, I just worry that she isn't hitting all the toofies with the brush; so I usually do it for her after she's done it herself. She has had some dental work done in the last few weeks, and we're going again today, so I think she's just really proud of her teeth and wants to keep 'em lookin' good!

Love this big girl so much!!

Eight Years...

Where has the time gone? Today, Warren and I celebrate EIGHT years of marriage!!! It seems like only yesterday that we were going out on our first date and spending those early days together. We've come a long way in these eight years, and I know that we have a long way to go--paying for three girls' college educations comes to mind immediately! :)

While it's true that we don't get a whole lot of 'us' time anymore now that we are parents to three of the most active children in the world, I do cherish our memories from when it was just the two of us, and I really couldn't be happier now that our number is five! I know that I couldn't have chosen a better husband and my girls couldn't have a better father. He works so hard for us and puts all four of his girls' needs (and wants) before those of his own. I hope he knows how much we appreciate all he does for us! We would be so lost without him.

I could go on and on and on about my sweet hubby, so I'll just stop now. In honor of our special day, I put together this slideshow. In order to hear the music, you'll have to scroll down to the end of the blog and pause the playlist music. Enjoy!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, WARREN!!!! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Photo of the Day #6 from Monday, April 23

Here is my photo of the day from yesterday (I know, my posting of these leaves a lot to be desired). Since the weather was nice yesterday afternoon, we all went outside together. Warren & I really enjoyed watching our sweet girls run around in the yard and play so sweetly with each other. This is Anna, obviously not happy because of something I said. I think I told her 'no' to something or told her not to squirm while sitting in my lap. Either way, she was not too happy with those suggestions!

** I posted a solo picture of Maggie yesterday, so I figured today's was Anna's turn. Reese will have to be next. Gotta give 'em all equal blog time. Too bad they're all mobile---if they couldn't move to well, I could just snap pics of them together!

A Little Behind....

Well, as my faithful blog followers can tell, I was a little behind in the photo a day challenge this weekend, at least the posting of my photos. I was faithfully taking pictures, but I just didn't have time to download them and post them...until this morning. Jenny, does this mean I've failed the challenge? I hope the 'rules' are that you just have to TAKE a picture a day and not necessarily post them. I do love this idea and I really love seeing what everyone is coming up with. Aren't Crew & Carrington two of the cutest babies? :)

Photo of the Day #5 from Sunday, April 22

Maggie (for the matter, all three girls) LOVES picking up rocks. This was taken yesterday at Warren's grandparents' church. (will post all the details on that later)
I would tell her to put the rocks down, and it would take forever for that to compute!! She'd put it down and then go and find another one! She couldn't get enough of 'em. I wonder if this is a family thing--my niece, Erin, loved picking up rocks in my grandparents' gravel driveway!

**aren't her new sandals too cute! Thanks, Mimi!!

Photo of the Day #4 from Saturday, April 21

Sleepy Anna having her snack! When the babies get cranky and I know they're getting tired, I put them in their high chairs with a snack. They're usually asleep in NO TIME! Anna was really tired Saturday afternoon, but she didn't take a nap in her chair! YIKES! She wasn't a happy camper for the rest of the day!

Photo of the Day #3

Here's my challenge photo #3! Reese was invited to a birthday party for one of her classmates this afternoon. Since Warren was working, I had to take all three girls with me. But, this party was at the same place where we had Reese's, and the employees are GREAT at walking around all the inflatables and watching all the children. This is a HUGE help to us moms who have more than one child to look after! :) Reese walked right in and immediately took off her shoes so she could start jumpin'. She definitely knew the drill!

Anyway, back to my photo. I brought the camera with me and while I was snapping pictures of the kids jumping, I just turned around and decided to take this one of the moms! I don't know about all of them, but it's not very often that I get a chance to have adult conversation, and I love how the moms' faces can't be seen, but I think that you kinda get a feeling of relaxation and how they seem to be enjoying each others' company! I know I enjoyed sitting and talking with these ladies for the few minutes I actually was able to. I didn't worry about Reese running loose, but Anna & Maggie still worry me some.

**sorry about the lovely backdrop of the restrooms; it'd be a really good picture without that, huh? :)

Have a great weekend!!!!

100 Things...

OK, so during my daily blog stalking, I saw where someone (who happens to be friends with my blog guru, Jenny) compiled a list of 100 things about herself. Wondering if I could come up with THAT many things, I started racking my brain. Some of you who read this may know some of these things about me, but there are some that I know you probably won't. And...I must admit, I stole some ideas off of others' I've seen.

So, here goes.....

1. I am a middle child. My sister is 2 years and 2months older than I am; my brother is 4 years and 8 months younger.

2. I am the only one in my immediate family who is left handed. This even includes Warren's immediate family, too. My grandmother's sister was left handed, and Warren's grandmother and aunt are, so I'm holding out hope that at least one of my girls will be. Reese definitely isn't, but there have been many occasions when one twin, if not both, has held her fork/spoon in her left! Since none of them look like me, maybe they'll get the left handed thing.

3. I started wearing glasses in the 4th grade & contacts in the 7th grade--only one of my immediate family to do this, too. Course, the sis and bro did start wearing glasses once they hit high school and college. My children must be doomed to have bad eyesight!

4. I had braces put on my teeth in the 7th grade as well. It was a banner year! :) This is also something that just happened to me!

5. I had to have my top braces put back on in the 9th grade! I hated that!!

6. I lived next door to my maternal grandparents until I moved away to college.

7. I saw my grandparents EVERYDAY until leaving for college. And I came home a lot of weekends, and usually spent the night at their house! Miss those days so much; I could count on them for anything! Even a 5am phone call when I had been awake all night sick with the stomach virus. I knew they'd be awake and I was needing me some comfort; they had no problem with my calling collect! :)

8. I LOVE 80's music--not all 80's, but most of it just makes me smile! :)

9. I go by my middle name, Brooke, which was given to me in honor of my maternal grandfather's older brother, Brooks, who had passed away several years before I was born. Didn't really like my name when I was little, but it's become more popular now.

10. I have only been to 4 music concerts in my life, and it's a pretty eclectic group---REM, Garth Brooks, Celine Dion & Rick Springfield.

11. I've only been out of the country once--on our honeymoon cruise.

12. The only time I've been on a plane was flying to Miami in order to leave on our cruise!

13. I got engaged at my very favorite place on earth, my grandparent's church campground. (see the campmeeting link to the right to see/read more about it)

14. I lived in the same house until I left for college.

15. I attended the same private school from kindergarten through 12th grade.

16. I love having my toenails painted. I had my first (and only at this typing) pedicure last year. I'm dying for another. My feet look so much better with polish on my toes!! (I am not a feet person, don't like 'em, never have, except cute little baby feet. Those are okay!)

17. I asked my husband out on our first date!!!

18. I almost missed that first date because I had been sick with the stomach virus three days prior!

19. My hubby and I have always talked about having four children--we're almost there. Although people think we're nuts since we have a 4 year old and 2 year old twins. We haven't totally decided yay or nay. We'll keep you posted! :)

20. I was a member of a sorority in college, but I DEFINITELY do NOT consider myself to be a 'sorority girl.'

21. I was a cheerleader for three years in high school.

22. I was my class salutatorian.

23. I played the clarinet in the 5th and 6th grade band--2 years! WOW!

24. I wanted to be a TV journalist when I was younger.

25. I would LOVE to see Hollywood--the stars on the walk of fame, the famous Hollywood sign, the Chinese theater.

26. I was an English major in college.

27. I taught middle school English for four years.

28. I HATE folding and putting away laundry. Gathering it up and washing it, not a problem. Actually doing something with it once it's folded gets to me!

29. I HATE cleaning the house. I probably would like doing it more if my kiddos would help me keep it clean.

30. I sometimes wish that I had attended MSU. Glad though that I didn't because I wouldn't have the family I do now. God sure does know what He's doing!

31. I tend to be a people pleaser; I don't like for people to be upset with me.

32. I HATE confrontation.

33. I lived with my future in-laws before getting married.

34. I often think about moving back to Cleveland, MS.

35. I bite my nails--horrible habit, I know!

36. I have NEVER smoked a cigarette or cigar and will not ever.

37. I almost had 2 dates for a Phi Mu party!

38. I LOVE drinking Dr. Pepper; it's my drink of choice.

39. I love veggies fresh from the garden; my granddaddy's tomaotes were the BEST. And my Uncle Ralph's cucumbers topped off the best salads (but I usually just sliced 'em up and ate 'em like chips).

40. I can't live without red meat; I could never be a vegetarian.

41. Vanilla really is my favorite flavor of ice cream; unoriginal, I know, but classic!

42. I saw Keith Urban going into the movie theater in Franklin, TN.

43. LeAnn Rimes told us that Reese was a very cute baby. She and her family were eating at the same restaurant we were one Sunday afternoon. I had to take Reese to the bathroom to change her diaper, and LeAnn and her mother smiled at us, and I could tell they liked Reese! Before leaving, she stopped by our table to say hi and tell us what a cute baby we had. Cool story for Reese to know about!

44. I love watching CBS soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless. Although, I don't watch them as much as I used to.

45. I am not very athletic; never played any sport.

46. I am not a big fan of tattoos, but I really like wathing Miami Ink.

47. I am a die hard Alabama fan!! Roll Tide Roll!!!

48. I was deathly afraid of dogs and pretty much all animals when I was little.

49. I am allergic to cats.

50. I am not allergic to any medications that I know of.

51. I have only been a bridesmaid once in my life; in 9th grade for my cousin's wedding.

52. I wish I could sing, and mean SING.

53. My hair won't hold curl, even if I roll it. I think I give new meaning to the term straight hair. Had I lived in the 60's, I never would have had to iron my hair.

54. I have NEVER had a broken bone (knock wood).

55. I was 26 years old the first time I was ever in the hospital, other than the day I was born. (I am now 31).

56. I have been put to sleep once for a medical procedure.

57. I have moved nine different times in the 8 years I've been married.

58. I have never rolled anyone's yard.

59. I wish I had more time to read more books. My library card is just going to waste!

60. I love cupcakes, especially the ones made from Pillsbury yellow cake mix frosted with vanilla icing. Too bad my waistline doesn't love them, too!

61. I notice when billboard/commercials/news articles have misspelled words and grammatical errors. Drives me crazy. Guess that's just the English major in me!

62. I am not a big fan of rain unless I can sleep in and not have to go anywhere while it's raining.

63. I adore my first mother's day present that Reese helped her daddy pick out for me, a pear shaped amethyst necklace. Love it!!

64. I have never consistently worked out until recently. But, I'm doing much better with it now, and I've been able to get ito some jeans I haven't worn since college! Go me!

65. I will probably never wear a two piece bathing suit again unless I go under the knife!

66. There are a lot of things that I've wanted that I've gotten, and probably even more things that I haven't gotten. The most rewarding and special things that I have gotten are my husband and my 3 girls!

67. I hated going to school until I was in the 9th grade.

68. I do not have any real musical talent--can't sing, don't play an instrument.

69. My wedding was almost conducted in the dark. It was a stormy night, and the lights in my church flickered as I was getting ready to walk down the aisle!

70. I served in the Columbus Pilgrimage once. I didn't really enjoy it then, but now that I'm older, I'd do it again if asked.

71. I loved Michael J. Fox as Alex P. Keaton on Family Ties. I would love to meet him one day, but I'd either be too star struck to say anything or I'd be so excited I couldn't shut up. Either way, I know I'd probably freak him out!

72. I love getting mail--not bills--mail!

73. I would always fall asleep first at slumber parties, and my 'friends' knew I was afraid of animals (see #48), so they would try to put their cats in my sleeping bag with me. With friends like that, who needed enemies, right? :)

74. In college, I could stay up/out past midnight. Eight years of marriage and three very active little girls later, it's 11 pm MAX!

75. I love to chew gum.

76. I have over 100 pair of shoes, much to my husband's chagrin.

77. I hate it when someone tickles my feet.

78. I bruise really really easily.

79. My first car was a 1986 blue Honda Prelude! Loved it!!!!! It was a 5 speed, and it was great, except that the a/c didn't work well, and when it would rain, water would seep in through the trunk and into the back seat. I've told Warren that I really want our girls to know how to drive a 5 speed!

80. As a senior in high school, my curfew was 10:30 (long story), and I lived 30 minutes from town! Bummer!

81. If my feelings get hurt, I usually just let them be hurt. I don't say anything and kinda 'stew' in it for a while.

82. I would love to have a pool (and someone to take care of the maintenance on it!).

83. I carved my initials into my mom's piano bench. To this day, I have no idea why I did it!

84. I shared a room with my sister until the 7th grade.

85. I am not a big fan of bugs of any kind; really, what are their purpose?

86. Besides my honeymoon cruise, I have never been out of the southeastern portion of the country.

87. I am dying to go to Europe.

88. My parents eloped one week after meeting each other on a blind date.

89. I don't pray as often as I should.

90. I have developed a temper over the last couple of years.

91. I don't tell the people I love often enough that I do love them.

92. I love the beach--wish we had a condo so we could escape sometimes.

93. I helped my granddaddy feed the pigs that he raised.

94. My pinkie fingernail became infected when I was little and fell off! Weird!!!

95. I tend to panic over things, especially if my kiddos are hurting.

96. I hate being 'stomach virus' sick--no more details here.

97. I am not a bed maker; I hardly ever do it unless I'm cleaning the house thoroughly or I'm changing sheets.

98. I do love sleeping on freshly laundered sheets.

99. I cannot sleep if it's too hot; I like to be cool, even though I am pretty cold natured.

100. I want lasik eye surgery, but my eyes just water at the thought of someone messing with them!

Photo of the Day #2

Here it is....my second photo in the photo a day challenge. I took a few today, no surprise, and I had a hard time deciding. Since this blog primarily features the girls anyway, I thought I'd post this one as our photo #2 for a change of pace.

I was outside sitting in the swing watching the girls play, camera ready, when the wind started blowing a bit, and the leaves on this tree in our backyard just swayed from side to side with the wind. I know as far as pictures go, it's not the best by any stretch, but from some weird reason, I was moved to snap it.

Because of my faith, I have never ever ever questioned the presence of God. I know that He is with us daily and watches over us and wants the best for us. I don't need to see Him; I know He's here. But when the wind blows, and I feel it on my face and through my hair, I am forever reminded of His awesome presence in my life.

I am going to do my best to try to not let this challenge be so focused on pics of the girls. I take tons of those anyway. I am going to attempt to keep my camera on me at all times this month so I'll always be ready--for anything!!!

Happy Thursday, or what's left of it anyway!

Photo of the Day #1

My picture of the day---Reese and her PawPaw (my dad). We usually (or at least try to) go by and see him at work after I pick Reese up from school on Wednesdays and Fridays. If we don't make it on a Wednesday, we go on Friday. We drive by his work to go home, so we stop by for a quick visit. Sometimes he gives us lunch money, which we just love, and we stop at Wendy's before going home. Reese pretty much ALWAYS takes a great picture, especially if they're more of the impromptu kind. Posing and sitting aren't really her thing. But I think she looks really great in this one, and I like is 'cause she's with her granddaddy! So Sweet! Reese LOVES to go and see my dad at work. If we can't go see her daddy because he's busy at the hospital, we go see MY daddy. He really loves his grand girls, and that does my heart good. They love him, too, and the babies call for him all the way home after seeing him. Too sweet!

Anyway, Jenny threw out this picture a day challenge, and since I take pictures just about everyday, I thought I'd try it. I know I can actually take at least one a day (ha--probably more like 20), but posting them daily may not happen. But I'll be sure to 'catalog' them for future reference on the blog!

We're Going Home with BopBop & DamDam

When Warren's parents came for Easter, they brought a Honey Baked ham with them so that we could have it for lunch. (Our girls love ham!) Anyway, while we were getting everything ready to eat, the girls decided that they wanted to play in the cooler that BopBop and DamDam had brought with them. Guess they figured if they got in the cooler that they could go home with them!

Sweet Easter Card

I just had to share this sweet card that BopBop & DamDam gave the girls for Easter. It just about made me cry!
In case you can't see the writing, the front says: "Do you know how Jesus feels about kids like you?"

And the inside: "He loves them lots and lots! Have a Blessed Easter"
And it's signed 'We love you lots & lots too! BopBop & DamDam'

Just too sweet!

Just Had To Post These

I know that everyone is getting sick of all the posts today, but I actually have pretty cooperative children who are letting me have some 'Mommy time.' I just think these pictures of Reese dying eggs with her baby, Maggie, are too sweet. We were just about all finished dying the eggs when she realized that "Maggie"hadn't helped yet. She went running back to her room to get her!

I love how she is getting the dipper all set in baby's hand.
And how she's helping baby dye the egg! :)
Our finished eggs! Stickers placed ever so carefully by Reese!

Bunny Picture

REMEMBER! I was disappointed that I didn't have Reese's bunny picture before Easter, but I asked her teacher about it today, and well...........................here it is!!!

I LOVE it!!! She looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO grown up! Where is my baby?

Easter Blessings

We certainly hope that everyone had a very special Easter. We sure did, but I think that any time we are together with each other is special. (disclaimer: Reese isn't doing what it looks like she's doing; I think she had just sneezed!)

We had a busy busy Easter weekend. All starting with the Brickerton Egg Hunt! (see post below) And we spent Saturday dying eggs and hunting them in the backyard, although, the hunting took only a few minutes since it was kinda chilly!

We did make it to church Sunday! YAY for us. We haven't been in a long time, and I am disappointed in myself that I haven't made more of an effort to get the fam up and going on Sundays. Our church has changed its worship times on us. In the past, early church was at 8:45, Sunday school at 9:45 and 'big church' at 11. Well, last summer they moved everything an hour earlier. Now there is only one service at 10 am! I like the fact that church is over before lunch time, but it's a killer on us, with three small kiddos. Two of whom are still 'babies' and who like to sleep until 8 or 9. And....I just HATE waking a sleeping baby. It's usually so hard to get them to sleep, and waking them just isn't something we do 'round here. We did get the babies up and gave them a pop tart and hoped we'd make it in time.

BopBop and DamDam (Warren's parents) had told us that they would meet us at our church. So, I told Warren that we should probably leave our house around 9:15 so we could meet them. And, I was worried about parking, so I wanted us to get there kinda early so we could find one. After I snapped the pictures posted here, we headed to the car to leave, and guess who was in our driveway. Yep, BopBop and DamDam!!! The girls were SOOOOOOOOOOO excited to see them. And like all good grandparents, they came bearing gifts for the girls. Reese got a cool sticker/coloring book, and the babies got a book about barnyard animals that has the push buttons to make the sounds. (thanks for yet another noisy toy, BopBop & DamDam. It's payback, isn't?) :) Just kidding! You know we appreciate everything you do for the girls (and us, too).
We get to church, and we stop off at the nursery to get everyone settled. When the children's minister saw how big the twins had gotten (remember, I said we hadn't been in a while), she moved them up to another room! Time sure has gotten away from us! Anyway, as we dropped off the twins, I warned the lady who was keeping their room that I am hardly ever away from them, and when I am, someone they know is with them. She understood, but the minute I passed Maggie to her, well, let's just say the decible level went waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up! She was so upset that I was leaving her, and I just about started crying myself. Anna was upset, too, but she seemed to be doing better about the whole situation. Our nursery has these pagers that you take to church with you, and the workers 'buzz' you if they need you. I just knew we were going to get 'buzzed.' We didn't though; the nursery workers made 'em tough it out. I hated the fact that they were upset, but they are going to have to get used to being without me/us at some point.

Reese kinda got upset herself at the thought of us leaving her, so she told us that she wanted to go to 'our church' with us. I told her that she had to sit still and be VERY quiet. And she did GREAT for her very first time in the hour long big church. We have a children's part of the worship service every Sunday, and on every Easter since I started going to FBC in the fourth grade, the children are asked to bring flowers from home to lay at the foot of the cross in front of the sanctuary. I never thought that Reese would want to go with us, so she didn't have any flowers. Well, as we headed into the sanctuary to find a seat, a nice lady handed Reese a small branch from an azalea bush so that she could lay her flowers at the foot of the cross. When it was time to go down, I went with her and she did AMAZING! She didn't say a word and she sat very still!!!! Warren had to stand up and move around a little so he could see her, but she spotted him up in the balcony and waved to him a little. So sweet! The children's minister had these the gospel story by colors bracelets for the children that explained the gospel and Christ and God's desire for us to know Him and be forgiven and accept Him. I ended up wearing the bracelet home, and I think I would like to have one for myself. Reese did get a little ansty about 10:30 and wanted to go home, but I put her in my lap and she almost fell asleep. Then it was time to come home!

BopBop and DamDam stayed for lunch and visited for a while, and it was a great day. I so wanted DamDam to take a picture of our family in our Easter best. Our pink azalea had been so beautiful (before the cold snap) and it would've made a perfect backdrop. But there were things to consider: 1) it was COLD outside and 2) making three little girls stay dressed up longer than absolutely necessary is next to impossible and 3) we were all kinda tired. So, I didn't get a family Easter picture, but maybe the next time we're all dressed up we can get one!

I am always reminded on Easter of God's love for us all. Sending His one and only son to die for us--what an amazing sacrifice (and gift, too, that we can have eternal life with Him in heaven). For Christ to have suffered and died for me--I am in awe of such a great amount of love! He selflessly took on all the sins of this world without question or complaint, faced it all with great faith, knowing that His Father's plan held great things for all those who believe. I need to remember His sacrifice for me, not just on Easter, but everyday. I think we all do.

May you all be blessed, today and always!!!

Thanks Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny was good to the girls this year. They each got a flashlight and most importantly CANDY!!! The twins each got a new Pooh basketball--the small kind--and they got a bath sponge for the tub. They've gotten to where they really like bathing each other! :) So sweet!

Reese, being the big sister, got a big girls' gift--the Charlotte's Web dvd. She loves it; we've watched it about 20 times since Sunday. Or should I say, it's played 20 times. If Reese gets still for too long, she's out like a light.

Notice the first picture. All five of our Easter baskets sitting out the night before Easter. Reese wanted to leave the Easter Bunny some cookies, like we did for Santa Claus. And, I realize that bunnies probably do prefer carrots or lettuce or another veggie, but our Easter bunny isn't too big on the veggies. We even had to leave the Easter bunny something to drink! And, she wanted to leave him a bath cloth so he could use it like a napkin and wipe his mouth when he was finished with his snack! She was so sweet telling us about how he would need a napking to clean up a bit! ;)

Hunting Eggs at Home

The girls had a great time hunting the eggs that Warren hid in the backyard, even though it was very cold outside. It was so strange to me that it was colder at Easter than it was at Christmas!

We loved watching the girls get so excited when they found an egg and were able to put it in their Easer buckets. (They do have real Easter baskets, but I got these $1 buckets for Reese to take to her egg hunt at school, and of course, she thought the babies needed to have one, too. Which of course they did! How foolish of me to think I could get away with buying only one!)Reese got so excited about finding one that she stepped on another one! She was so upset about having crushed one; I think she thought she was going to get in trouble for it, bless her heart.
