Great Pictures

A couple more pictures from our visit with my dad. I love the way Anna is laughing at my dad in the first one--too cute! I think they had a really good time helping PawPaw at work.

And....I LOVE the expression on Anna's face in this bottom picture. She looks too cute, but I have to say that my girls pretty much look too cute all the time! :) Anna is really proud of herself here--she had just snatched the pen from big sister! Posted by Picasa

PawPaw's Office Help

We dropped by to see my dad at work yesterday while we were running errands. We hadn't seen ol' PawPaw in a while, so it was time. Usually when we go to see him, Anna & Maggie are snoozing in the backseat so they hardly ever go into his office. Well, yesterday they were rearing to go. As you can see by these pictures (which of course you know I have several more to show), they were a BIG help! :) All three of them were fascinated with the calculator; good thing PawPaw had more than one. I had a really good time watching my girls with my dad and seeing him with them, too. So happy! Maggie even figured out how to use the speakerphone on PawPaw's phone. Good thing Daddy was close by to turn it off--no telling who ol' Mags would have called. The girls really look like they know what they're doing, huh? :)

Didn't Get a Picture....

of THE cutest thing that the babies just did! Maggie had found some of Reese's 'play keys'--old ones that we don't use anymore or just ones that we don't know what they go to. Anyway....Maggie has gotten to where she will either get the keys or put a bag of some kind in the crook of her arm and tell us "bye-bye." (Reese says she's going to WalMart) :) Well, that's what Mags did just now with the play keys, but this time she did something more. Over the last few days, the babies have been giving us sugar, pretty much on command. So, Anna was lying on the kitchen floor, Maggie had her keys, ready to go, then she told Anna bye and leaned down and gave her a kiss! :) I know I am such a cheesy dork, but it made me kinda teary.

They have really always been aware of each other; how could they not after spending nine months together in the womb and most of their first year sleeping in the same bed. But here lately, they have really shown how much they love each other. Anna gave Maggie a big hug last night, but it was kinda traumatic in that Maggie wasn't standing too steady and Anna was so excited about hugging her that she knocked ol' Mags down and she bumped her head. Oh well, guess that's a new definition of 'tough love,' huh?

Can't wait to see what new things they come up with next......

Couch Potatoes

I should have titled this post something else...Warren rarely gets to watch TV at all. So, if anyone is the couch potato, is Reese (and me, too). She had just had her bath and while I was getting the babies bath ready, she climed up on the couch to watch TV with her daddy. She doesn't usually sit on the couch much because she is such a busy girl, but I thought this moment was too sweet and had to be captured! :) Love them both!

Poor Big Sister....Two Against One

Don't know if Anna & Maggie are more interested in getting big sister or Belle. They LOVE their big sister so much. I love seeing my girls being so sweet to each other. (I kinda think Reese likes it, too, even though she's outnumbered!) Posted by Picasa

14 & 1/2 Month Pictures

I fell down on my picture taking responsibilities last month, so I don't have any 13 month pictures of the twins. So, to redeem myself, I went crazy with the camera yesterday. I needed to get some new pictures of them especially, so I dressed them up. I figured that they're going to outgrow these sweet little outfits that my mom got for them soon, and I wanted proof that they had worn them at least once! :) They're too sweet in them. They look great in these sweet kinds of clothes, but they get so messy around the house. I could keep a full length bib on them and mop my kitchen/dining floor every ten minutes and these two would still find a way to get dirty!

**as usual, Anna is on the left and Maggie the right**

Where Has My Baby Gone?

I wish Belle hadn't had to be a part of these pictures (plus some others to be posted later), but I will say that it made Reese happy and she sat still and cooperated! Imagine that! :) She looks so grown up in these pictures with her little legs crossed, sitting so big and tall with such natural expressions. I cannot believe that in five short months she'll be FOUR YEARS OLD! It's kinda hard to get my brain around sometimes; I feel like she's supposed to be little forever. But, I know that can't happen, so I'm forced to deal with the inevitable----my baby's growing up! She is really getting into jewelry, or should I say one piece in particular. My mom got her and my two nieces a heart necklace each with their birthstones in them. The only time Reese takes it off is when it's bath time. We have to put it back on after we get ready for bed, and she even sleeps in it! I was worried about it choking her (and still am) but she LOVES it!!

I know I am extremely biased, but isn't she absolutely beautiful?

Maggie's Beauty Salon

Maggie being such a sweet sister, trying to help Anna get her bow back in her hair! :) They just look so angelic to me. I truly am doubly blessed with these twin girl babies.

Other "Stars"

enjoying their pancake breakfasts. They don't seem to be too worried about the paparazzi. They're too interested in the pancakes!!

Movie Star Anna....

...Dining incognito. Our darling movie star tries to enjoy her breakfast without the watchful eyes of the paparazzi, hence the Belle sunglasses. But alas, she was foiled again when the worst paparazzo of them all (aka Mommy) pulled out her camera!

LOVE THESE PICTURES!!! :)

Future Plumber????

During their bath the other night, Anna became really interested in the faucet. Don't know why or what it could mean. Possibly just boredom, curiosity, or that we have a plumbing prodigy on our hands. :)

Three Bathing Beauties

I usually don't bathe Reese with the twins; she likes to 'swim' and be like a little fish--she is all over the place which ends up causing Mommy huge headaches. And, if I ever thought that their bathtub was small, it really seems tiny when there are three folks in it! Anyway, the other night as I was bathing the babies, Reese desperately wanted to get in with them. So, I let her, all the while knowing that it wasn't going to be the easiest of tasks to get all three of them bathed and make sure they didn't get hurt in the process. And boy, was I right---Reese was indeed all over the place which caused Anna & Maggie to want to be, too. They kept standing up and walking to try to get to Reese. (I was totally exhausted once we were finished!) And everything that Reese did made Anna & Maggie laugh, which I LOVE hearing. Reese doesn't even have to do anything special to get them to laugh; they just think she's funny! :)

All three of them look very serious about whatever it is they're doing.

Maggie doesn't look too thrilled about being in this picture. Anna sure looks to be having a good time, though, and Reese looks too sweet!

My Gran

I just had to post this picture. I was going through some old emails, and I remembered that I had saved this picture that my cousin, Craig, sent me a couple of years ago. This is Erin at her very first campmeeting with my grandfather, Walter. I think that this was taken at Gran's next to last campmeeting. This is one of the things he lived for--walking a baby all around the campground (or really anywhere for that matter) and this was the position in which he carried the babies. Many of my relatives tell me stories about how he must have walked about a million miles with me during my first campmeetings; they say I wasn't a very 'agreeable' baby and that Gran walked me so much to help calm me down! What I would give if I could actually remember that. I do remember his last campmeeting--I snapped the very last picture ever taken of him--in his favorite spot on one of the front porch swings. Soon after he passed away, I had copies made for my mom and grandmom and my brother and sister. I am so glad I was able to capture that--it is classic Gran. Since he's not here with us, I cherish the memories I have of him sitting in that very swing. And we all cherish that picture; it's one of the ways that I will always remember him. I even like to think that he's sitting on a swing in heaven relaxing and watching over us. It makes me feel a little closer to him. I just felt a need to post this to introduce you all to my gran since I've mentioned him in previous posts. I've been thinking about him a lot today for some reason, not that I don't think about him everyday, but today in particular has been one of deep thought about him. This January it will be eight years that we said goodbye to him. We miss him and love him so! Posted by Picasa

She's At It Again

For some reason, Mags just LOVES to climb. Found her STANDING on the dining table while my back was turned putting away groceries. I'm afraid she's gonna do us in!! Guess I'm gonna have to figure out a way to keep her corraled!

We Have Graduated...

...to forward facing car seats, that is. Now that they're twenty pounds and one year, we can finally have them facing forward. These pictures were taken during their very first forward facing ride. I'm not sure what they thought of it, but Anna was very vocal about it--she 'talked' all the way into town! Now that they're facing the same way as Reese, they can enjoy whatever big sister is watching on the DVD!!! :) Now all I have to do is tweak my errand running routine. I had a system down to a science of running errands without Warren; now I've got to figure out how to do it since they're in the 'big seats." ;) Nothing like having two little ones and big girl!
